This month is so exciting because Spring is in the air AND March MATness is upon us!! You heard me right… March “Mat”ness not Madness. So what is March MATness , you ask? Well, it’s a challenge that is put on by the Pilates community that pays homage to Joseph Pilates’ original mat exercises. It is super fun and I’ll be participating and including these exercises in my warm-ups during our classes this month.

Day 1️⃣ exercise is the Pilates Hundred. This is probably the most well-known Pilates exercise and in my opinion, one of the best! I use some variation of it in almost all my aerial warm-ups. It is such a great exercise to get you warm and ready for aerial work.
If you didn’t know, I am a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor. If you are interested in Pilates workouts, send me a DM! I’m also thinking of putting together some quick and simple 10-20 min. workouts on our YouTube channel. These will incorporate Pilates, Yoga, Barre, and HIIT, ground conditioning for aerial work, and more!
